This is the second part of David and Joe's chat with former Soccer AM presenter John Fendley 'Fenners'. The ep starts off more football heavy and Fenners tells them what it was like working on Soccer AM with Jimmy Bullard. David continues with his quick fire questions starting with 'the footballer that surprised you most at how good they were' ? Then they get derailed when John tries to sell them an iphone 12 case for £10 including delivery. They decide Fenners would make a great sales man for their new podcast Bootsale Bobby. After showing them Pele's signed football shirt John opens his special autograph folder to show David & Joe but can't remember which footballers signatures they are. This sparks an idea for another new podcast. WW2 Historian and bunker expert Andrew Chatterton is back. David and Andrew go on a hunt for an undiscovered WW2 bunker while Joe watches via zoom. They have some clues to work from and try to peice together the intel as they search the countryside. They know the name of the woods and that the bunker is near a zig zag in a road. It's not much to go on but will they get lucky and find it? In his eagerness David has a couple of tumbles . Joe finds it all genuinely and utterly fascinating. Joe and David chat to TV Presenter John Fendley (the artist formely known as Fenners) about all things Soccer AM and all the footballing legends he has met over the years. Joe can't believe that John has a signed shirt from Pele and has also met his hero Glenn Hoddle. Fenners tries to sell them a phone case and a pair of his shoes. David drops in a series of not so quick fire questions for John including which footballer smells the best. John tells them how his wife got a sniff of David Beckham who smelt particularily good. They also come up with several new podcast ideas one of which is actually good. John promises to send David and Joe a signed shirt and they toy with the idea of starting a WhatsApp group. Then unbeknown to Joe, their friend Lizzy pops up on the zoom to discuss how she saw Joe doing the park run two and half years ago. Rising Star is a new Chatabix segment, a monthly spin off that follows a contestant after they've been on a reality show like Traitors, The Apprentice or Love Island. David & Joe want to find the next Mark Wright or Alison Hammond and document their journey to (hopefully) fame and fortune, discussing what happens next and how they'll approach stardom. From getting their first TV agent, to deciding if they should they go on I’m A Celebrity, the rising stars will hopefully spill the beans on how it felt going on Loose Women for the first time ! Joe & David will follow someone they think have a great chance of having a TV career beyond the show that they have just been on. In this first pilot episode they chat to Paul Gorton, that tall traitorish guy from Series 2 of The Traitors UK. Tracking Paul's progress as he tries to make it in the industry they chat about all the offers he has had, what TV & radio shows he's done, how many insta followers he now has and what's next. Paul then displays his acting skills hoping this may land him a job in Hollywood. Everyone's favourite, TV Joe is back on again after the spa episode fiasco. This time he get's to do the special January TV quiz he's prepared for Joe and David. They get cross if he doesn't have one so are very happy today. Joe gets over competitive again but David seems to know his stuff. Disapointingly TV Joe hasn’t been watching Traitors so they can't natter about it but they do wang on about the old and new Gladiators show. While they are waiting for David to come on the zoom, Joe and TV Joe plan next years christmas party. TV Joe apologises for snapping at Natalie Cassidy when he was hungover at the last Chatabix christmas party. As they continue to wait, it becomes clear that David has forgotten they are podding. When David eventually appears he is outside a not so luxury spa that he has walked out of because he felt too uncomfortable. It transpires he went to the spa for the day with his wife Naomi and got the days muddled thinking TV Joe was on the following week. After some digging about why they left the spa early it seems that David's perception of events don’t quite tally up with his wifes. Joe makes David take Naomi for a pub lunch. It's so good to have Paul Gorton back in the bosom of Chatabix once again after his appearance on BBC1 show The Traitors series 2. Joe and David try to think of some questions that Paul hasn’t already been asked in the hundreds of interviews he's done since leaving the show. David is overwhelmed by the weight of what to ask. Paul tells them how he’s coping with his new found fame. He's actually loving it. They ask Paul the million dollar question everyone wants to know, 'is the turret real' ? After his success as a traitor on the telly box, discussion turns to what's next for Paul. This segues nicely into Joe and David’s new show idea ‘Rising Star.’ It’s great to have Paul back for a (long) chat and he doesn’t disappoint.
