Detra's Story

Welcome back everybody! It’s been a while since I’ve put out a new episode! I have been so busy with work and life and celebrating my 30th birthday in Barcelona, but the Ashes with Ash Podcast is back in full swing and I have the perfect episode for you guys to hear that will surly make you laugh, make you cry, scootch you to the edge of your seat and inspire the absolute shit out of you. You all may have read her story on Humans Of New York, which those of you who don’t know what Humans of NY is, its a photoblog and book created by Brandon Stanton in 2010 where he interviews strangers in NYC to share their stories. He is an incredible writer and photographer and has written some of the most powerful, heartbreaking, inspiring, loving, courageous stories the world has ever heard including the one that you’ll hear today.
