One Simple Question | Real Ghost Stories

Living alone in a small apartment complex, he thought the strangest thing he’d have to worry about were the recent break-ins neighbors had been talking about. A couple of units had already had their doors forced, and management was reminding everyone to be careful about locking up.

One afternoon after running errands, he stretched out on the couch and drifted into that half-awake state where you’re aware of the room around you but not fully conscious.

That’s when he heard a young girl’s voice from somewhere in the living room. The voice asked a simple question.

When he opened his eyes, the apartment was completely empty. No one there. No explanation for where the voice had come from. But moments later, he realized something that made the timing of that question hard to ignore.

Was it just a dream in that half-asleep state…or was someone watching out for him?
