The fallout in NWSL

A little over two weeks ago, The Athletic published an investigation into allegations of sexual coercion against North Carolina Courage head coach Paul Riley. The investigation focused not just on the allegations, but also the people in charge of NWSL and the teams that investigated Riley, but allowed him to continue coaching in the league.

Since that story was published, Riley has been fired, the commissioner resigned, and players have been more vocal than ever before about toxic cultures at their clubs.
