In episode 118, Mountain Murders takes a look at an unsolved case from 1980. Two free spirited women who embraced the hippie lifestyle ventured cross country on a trip of a lifetime to the Rainbow Gathering.

Vicki, an experienced hitchhiker, and her young protege Nancy met up with a third friend to journey across America to a beautiful National Park in West Virginia. Only somewhere along the way, the road trip met a deadly end.

With little to go on, the case went cold. 9 local men were implicated in the murders but a turn of events will change the case's history and leave a lot of unanswered questions.
