What you sell plays a big role in deciding how you’ll do business. After that, you need to decide if you’re going to sell your product via a platform or a website builder. Platforms are a third party where you can advertise and sell your product like Etsy or Facebook Marketplace. You should research several different platforms to find the one that best suits your needs and product. Website builders are sites where you can make your specialized website to promote your business and sell products. They come equipped with various features and effects to make a unique website for your business. As with platforms, you should also research them carefully to find out which one will meet your needs best. After your business is up and running, you need to learn about marketing metrics. Marketing metrics are measurable values that can tell you how well your site is doing. Some examples include the first visit metric, which measures how many people visit your site for the first time and what they do there, the returning visitor metric, which calculates repeat customers and bounce rate, which calculates how many people leave your website on the first page upon reaching it, among many others.
