#54 - World Record Holder Andy Allan’s Journey of Adversity, Heartache, and Kettlebells (Part 1)

#54 - World Record Holder Andy Allan’s Journey of Adversity, Heartache, and Kettlebells (Part 1)

Welcome back to the podcast. Today, my guest is Andy Allan—my cousin and an extremely popular guest from nearly two years ago (episode 4!)

Andy recently broke the Guinness World Record for the most weight lifted via kettlebell clean and press in 60 minutes.

Our conversation is split into two parts. Part one, this week, focuses on Andy’s journey over the past two years—attempting to break the record, the mental and physical challenges he faced, and the process of overcoming them. We tap into a lot of that.

Part two (releasing next week) is a much broader conversation, but we also cover some tactical pointers on how to go about breaking a world record—the steps you need to take—as well as general lessons and reflections on life and training, which I hope you’ll find useful.

I hope you enjoy my conversation with Andy Allan.
