#155 - Sleep Meditation - Coming Home To The Breath

#155 - Sleep Meditation - Coming Home To The Breath

Fall deeply asleep with a guided mindfulness meditation on the breath and letting go.

Letting go really means letting be. It's one of the foundations of mindfulness. It reminds us not to get too caught up in having things a certain way. Letting go is also about the power of acceptance of the present moment and its contents. Not trying to push the river, but just allowing it to be as it is.

Hans Christian Andersen's The Emperor's New Clothes has been a favorite story of mine since I was a child. It's over a hundred years old but still very relevant to our world today. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. If you like the sound of the creek in the background while I read or you'd like a longer audio file to put you to sleep, I've made an extended version of Episode 3. It has just the story, no introduction, with creek sounds underneath. When the story ends, the creek sounds continue to the end.
