He starts of by saying he is not a perv (something he would quickly disprove) and saying he would be interested in her if either he were younger or she were older. He is known for his boot fetish and hilarious scream during his arrest. White, was 31 at the time when he began an internet conversation with a decoy who was pretending to be a fifteen-year-old African-American girl named "Natasha." The decoy was really Xavier Von Erck, founder of Perverted Justice. Gerald mentioned he preferred to be with black girls. Shortly after, he asked the decoy if she wore boots. Gerald later inquired about the decoy's history with hypnosis. Phillips started conversing with a decoy he thought was named "Kimmie", a fourteen-year-old girl, on December 9, 2006. He was regarded by Perverted Justice as a "fast mover." Using the screen name "g8rman21," a reference to his affinity for alligator hunting, he said that although he had examinations that evening, he would drive to her house afterward so they could "watch a scary movie and see if anything happens." He recognized that she was a child and called her cute, explaining that her age did not bother him. Phillips inquired if she was a virgin and whether she was still in junior high. He didn't want to talk about anything overtly sexual, as if he knew the decoy was attempting to set him up. Using the screen name "sugardavis", began a chat with a decoy who was posing as a 13 year old girl. He talked about getting naked in a hot tub, smoking marijuana, and putting oil all over their bodies. Nash drove an hour to the sting house. After making small talk with the decoy, Chris walks out and sarcastically asks Nash why "he didn't bring his drums".
