Episode 369: How the new TV show 'The Guards' is an eye opener on policing the lawless

A new fly-on-the-wall series following gardai on the beat in one of the country's most troubled neighbourhoods is giving viewers a window into ground zero of the drug crisis. Children groomed by drug gangs, living in stash houses and watching as their parents and grandparents are arrested for open dealing all features on the show, which is an honest-and-brutal portrayal of life in crime black spots forgotten by politicians and by progress.
