The Tribulations of William Regal

The Tribulations of William Regal

In the first of an impromptu two-parter, William Regal chronicles the health issues that he’s suffered over the last couple of years that nearly cost him his life! You’ll hear how through the workings of science and modern medicine, some excellent doctors, and a bit of fate (or maybe divine intervention), Regal defied the odds, beat death, and lived to tell the tale of not only his extremely rare heart surgery, but also the neck injury he’s been suffering from for 30 years that he didn’t really know he had! And in between his surgeries, hospital stays, and doctor visits, he managed to scout talent for WWE, hold tryouts, and produce some incredible events for NXT. He talks about his program with Bryan Danielson, working in the ring with Cesaro, and his last unofficial match with Sami Zayn. Far Beyond Driven - The Story of Jose Mangin & The Pantera Limo

Far Beyond Driven - The Story of Jose Mangin & The Pantera Limo

Pantera brothers Vinnie Paul and Darrell “Dimebag” Abbott loved riding in limos so they got one of their own! Vinnie used it extensively after Dime’s death, and when Vinnie Paul passed in 2018, the limo was given to longtime, diehard Pantera fan and SiriusXM Octane host, Jose Mangin! Jose explains how he found about the generous gift, what it took to get the limo from Texas to Southern California with almost no notice, and how he went about getting the limo fully restored! Jose spared no expense when it came to the restoration and added some amazing tributes to the Abbott brothers in the limo’s interior along with a very cool salute to the fans who contributed to the GoFundMe to help raise money for the process. Jose walks us through the year-plus long journey to get the limo restored and running again, and shares the feedback he got from Dime’s widow, Rita, and the rest of the Pantera family. Jose & Chris detail the adventures they each had in the limo with Vinnie Paul, and Jose reveals his plans for the limo’s future and how YOU can experience it (and party in it) for yourself!  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. James Bondcast - Episode 007

James Bondcast - Episode 007

Last Fall marked the end of an era for the James Bond movie franchise! Daniel Craig played the 007 British secret agent for the last time on film in “No Time To Die!” And despite what happened during that movie, the end credits assured fans, “James Bond will return!” But who will be the latest to take on one of the most iconic roles in Hollywood history?  That’s just one topic discussed by the James Bond super fan panel including Brad Gilmore (host of the “Back From The Future” podcast and author of the new book, “Bond, James Bond: Exploring the Shaken And Stirred History of Ian Fleming’s 007”), Michael Boyd (scholarly writer of all things Ian Fleming and James Bond), and TIJ alum Don Callis! The foursome breakdown the 60-year history of the James Bond movie franchise. They analyze who played Bond best (Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig). They talk about the Bond girls, the Bond villains, the Bond theme songs, the many gadgets and cars, and the surrounding cast of characters. Britt, Madusa & Jazz - Evolution of Women's Wrestling LIVE

Britt, Madusa & Jazz - Evolution of Women's Wrestling LIVE

Madusa, Jazz, and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., three generations of incredible, pioneering female wrestlers, were on the Chris Jericho Rock & Wrestling Rager at Sea Triple Whammy last October, and of course that meant there had to be a live podcast about the evolution of women’s wrestling! Madusa came up in the AWA in the 80s, spent three years wrestling in Japan before going to WWE, and then jumping ship to WCW in one of the most historic moments in all of wrestling (think WWE title belt and a trash can). Jazz wrestled during the Attitude Era of WWE, was on the roster when the Divas arrives, and has plenty of stories about trying to be taken seriously as a worker during the time of bikini models and “tits and ass.” And current AEW Women’s World Champion, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. has a completely different experience, and once she credits to the pioneers like Medusa and Jazz who blazed the path before her, and allowed her to main event on AEW DYNAMITE in an Unsanctioned Lights Out match against Thunder Rosa.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Killer Show - Analyzing the Great White Station Fire Tragedy

Killer Show - Analyzing the Great White Station Fire Tragedy

“America’s Deadliest Rock Concert: The Guest List” is a new documentary on the Reelz network. It’s the story of the infamous Great White concert fire at the Station nightclub in West Warwick, Rhode Island on the night of February 20th, 2003. Great White’s onstage pyrotechnics ignited a fast-moving blaze that killed 100 people and injured over 200 more. This new documentary is told through the eyes of the survivors and the victims’ families, and recounts the events from the night of the tragic fire to the criminal case and trial, and the civil lawsuit that followed. Great White frontman Jack Russell is featured in the documentary, and you’ll hear why his participation was a MUST for filmmaker, David Bellino. David’s producing partner, and the attorney who litigated the civil suit on behalf of the victims’ family members and the survivors, John Barylick, wrote the book on which the documentary is partially based – “Killer Show: The Station Nightclub Fire, America’s Deadliest Rock Concert.” Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has been a tireless advocate for the survivors and victims’ families, and was instrumental in bringing together his fellow musicians to stage a benefit concert in 2008 that was broadcast on VH-1. And Mike Ricardi was at the concert that night with his best friend, Jim Gahan. Mike made it out. Jim did not. David Bellino, John Barylick, Dee Snider, and Mike Ricardi discuss the events of that night, the making of the documentary, the importance of telling this story and remembering the survivors, the victims and all of the families impacted by this unbelievable tragedy, the personal ties they each have to this story, and how they’ve all found hope, and in Mike’s case, some healing, through this project. Tune in this Sunday February 27th at 3pm Eastern on Reelz to watch the documentary or visit Reelz.com for information on how to watch it on demand.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
