You’ll hear how through the workings of science and modern medicine, some excellent doctors, and a bit of fate (or maybe divine intervention), Regal defied the odds, beat death, and lived to tell the tale of not only his extremely rare heart surgery, but also the neck injury he’s been suffering from for 30 years that he didn’t really know he had! And in between his surgeries, hospital stays, and doctor visits, he managed to scout talent for WWE, hold tryouts, and produce some incredible events for NXT. Pantera brothers Vinnie Paul and Darrell “Dimebag” Abbott loved riding in limos so they got one of their own! Vinnie used it extensively after Dime’s death, and when Vinnie Paul passed in 2018, the limo was given to longtime, diehard Pantera fan and SiriusXM Octane host, Jose Mangin! Jose explains how he found about the generous gift, what it took to get the limo from Texas to Southern California with almost no notice, and how he went about getting the limo fully restored! Jose spared no expense when it came to the restoration and added some amazing tributes to the Abbott brothers in the limo’s interior along with a very cool salute to the fans who contributed to the GoFundMe to help raise money for the process. Jose walks us through the year-plus long journey to get the limo restored and running again, and shares the feedback he got from Dime’s widow, Rita, and the rest of the Pantera family. Madusa, Jazz, and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., three generations of incredible, pioneering female wrestlers, were on the Chris Jericho Rock & Wrestling Rager at Sea Triple Whammy last October, and of course that meant there had to be a live podcast about the evolution of women’s wrestling! Madusa came up in the AWA in the 80s, spent three years wrestling in Japan before going to WWE, and then jumping ship to WCW in one of the most historic moments in all of wrestling (think WWE title belt and a trash can). “America’s Deadliest Rock Concert: The Guest List” is a new documentary on the Reelz network. It’s the story of the infamous Great White concert fire at the Station nightclub in West Warwick, Rhode Island on the night of February 20th, 2003. Great White’s onstage pyrotechnics ignited a fast-moving blaze that killed 100 people and injured over 200 more. This new documentary is told through the eyes of the survivors and the victims’ families, and recounts the events from the night of the tragic fire to the criminal case and trial, and the civil lawsuit that followed. Great White frontman Jack Russell is featured in the documentary, and you’ll hear why his participation was a MUST for filmmaker, David Bellino. David’s producing partner, and the attorney who litigated the civil suit on behalf of the victims’ family members and the survivors, John Barylick, wrote the book on which the documentary is partially based – “Killer Show: The Station Nightclub Fire, America’s Deadliest Rock Concert.” Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has been a tireless advocate for the survivors and victims’ families, and was instrumental in bringing together his fellow musicians to stage a benefit concert in 2008 that was broadcast on VH-1. And Mike Ricardi was at the concert that night with his best friend, Jim Gahan. Mike made it out. Jim did not. David Bellino, John Barylick, Dee Snider, and Mike Ricardi discuss the events of that night, the making of the documentary, the importance of telling this story and remembering the survivors, the victims and all of the families impacted by this unbelievable tragedy, the personal ties they each have to this story, and how they’ve all found hope, and in Mike’s case, some healing, through this project.
