58. PINK TAX - The cost of being a woman

Lifers, we were a little slow off the ranks today, but boy do we have a biggy for you!

First up on todays episode we are talking about that Adele photo that is causing a stir, then we dive into a little bit of Bach Chat, followed by our favourite Accidentally Unfiltered stories for the week.... and then for the main course we have something a little different for you today.

We are getting serious and talking about Pink Tax, and the hidden costs of being female.

So what is pink tax? Glad you asked! It’s gender based price discrimination. Basically women are still paying more for certain items than men are, even if the items are identical, effectively shelling out a 'pink tax' simply for being female.

Is it not bad enough that women on average are still earning less than our male counterparts!? Even though they often can’t even multitask!? (Ok that part is not fact per se but a it’s strong opinion)

But now it costs us more to shop too!?

HOW IS THIS HAPPENING!
