Afghan Refugee - Disappearance of Lina Sardar Khil

San Antonio police are conducting a new search for Lina Sardar Khil, a three-year-old Afghan refugee who went missing in December 2021. The search was prompted by a tip received by police, but they are not disclosing the details of the tip. Police and the FBI have met with Lina's family to address their concerns about communication regarding the case, and the family plans to be present during the search. The search area was previously investigated, and the family is hoping for answers in the case ahead of Lina's sixth birthday.


Police are urging anyone with information regarding Lina or her whereabouts to come forward and contact the SAPD's special victims unit at 210-207-2313.
