Kolme nuorta tyttöä murhattiin partioleirillä Oklahoman osavaltiossa Yhdysvalloissa kesällä 1977. Poliisi löysi leiripaikan läheltä pian murhien jälkeen johtolankoja, jotka johdattivat poliisit epäillyn luokse. Yllättävää kyllä, paikalliset asettuivat puolustumaan rikoksista syytettyä miestä, vaikka aihetodisteet liittivät hänet vahvasti partiotyttöjen järkyttäviin murhiin.
