IN CONVERSATION: Emma Carey

Happy, happy, happy Thursday you wonderful people! Em is known as the girl who fell from the sky: at just 20 years old, when skydiving in Switzerland, her parachute failed to open properly. She plummeted from the sky, landing on the ground completely paralysed from the waist down. She spent months in hospital re-learning how to move her body again. Today, Emma is a walking paraplegic. As she documented her recovery and her re-birth (as she now calls it) Emma built a hugely loyal following thanks to her sunny and warm and thoughtful posts. But often, behind the scenes, things were much harder than she presented them on Instagram. Last week, we sat down with her in Brisbane and asked her all about it.
