In an earlier episode of Murderish, I told the story of Justin Hopper’s murder. Justin Hopper was a high school student who was gunned down in cold blood by two of his classmates in a Canyon near Redlands California in the 1990s. In this follow-up episode, I speak with another friend of Justin’s who gives additional perspective on Justin and Ryan Bangs, who was convicted in connection with Justin’s murder (along with co-defendant, Aaron Mercado). Justin’s friend, who requested to remain anonymous, was in contact with Justin in the days leading up to his murder, and she also attended part of the trial that resulted after Justin was killed.
