OP's brother brings his kid over, and the child immediately starts to harass the dog. The dog growls once at the kid as a warning, and the brother completely flips out and demands that OP put the dog to sleep. OP doesn't want to do that, obviously, but now the brother is saying that OP is choosing a dog over the safety of a child.
