August 20th: Juan Manuel Alvarez Sentenced (2008) When one makes the heartbreaking decision to take their own life, the manner in which they do so doesn’t often involve the deaths of others. Especially complete strangers. On August 20th 2008 a man was sentenced for the deaths of 11 individuals during, what he claimed, was an attempt to take his own life.
