Ep. 36- Let's discuss My Spotify Album Hack Idea, Music Marketing Guru Damian Keyes, and My Spotify Playlists

In Episode 36 of Idea Diary - Today, I talk about Damian Keyes video he posted today that got me thinking about a new way to possibly get more ad revenue from people listening to your album for free. Simply post your full album as a podcast episode inside Spotify, get some ads on that episode using Anchor FM, and share that link of your “full album episode” out as a place to listen to full album instead of having people just listen to the album inside Spotify as music streaming. Is that a hack? Not totally sure, but sounds like an additional revenue stream option for your fans to listen and share your music easily. I am certainly going to try it!

Bands and musicians may need to consider starting daily content of some kind. to connect with people, and have people getting to know you. There are no gatekeepers anymore! Every musician may possibly need to personal branding themselves, as well as branding the music. That’s a minimum of two brands you need to market… sounds time consuming and hard, but there is money to be made being a musician. You just have to find the way that is easy for you.
