Episode 1 (Part B): Indigenous Pedagogy - Privileging First Nations People's Voices

Episode 1 (Part B): Indigenous Pedagogy - Privileging First Nations People's Voices

In this episode, crew members Joella and Jean unpack Indigenous pedagogy from the previous episode wisdom from Dr Deb Duthie. They discuss colonisation, dispossession and child removal from their personal perspectives. An interesting discussion about white fragility. Indigenous pedagogy, community engagement and yarning circles are highlighted as valuable practice when working in the Indigenous space. First Nations people are still very much living today through the impacts of Australia’s history of colonisation and dispossession. Sovereignty was never ceded, Australia was and always will be Aboriginal land.
