In E 48 AA goes back to 44BC and the Ides of March. Caesar having declared himself Dictator for life and becoming like a King was murdered by Brutus in order to save the Republic. Sound familiar? Since when did Metal fans become so tetchy and triggered by words, yet are happy to lean into the mythology of 70s and 80s musicians who made far greater indiscretions? and finally to a second cancelled S.Patricks Day, how a handful of confused looking tourists wearing leprachaun outfist standing in the empty streets of a shut down city summed up 2021 so far.
