163: A Lesson From a Very Special Dog with Caroline Rose

163: A Lesson From a Very Special Dog with Caroline Rose

"It's so easy to be consumed with what's coming up tomorrow… Dogs live in the moment, that's all they're capable of doing. I think that brings real peace-- Being here, we're safe. Right now, we are all okay." -Caroline Rose

As active as she was, Caroline Rose never thought that life could take a turn the way it did. Their anticipated trip to Mount Kilimanjaro suddenly became her worst nightmare. As a young 27 year old, the thought of having an incurable stage 4 cancer is the end of life. But she found hope and healing from her family, nurse Jan who went beyond her duties, and Riley, a very special dog that taught her that life is still worth living. Listen in as Ted and Caroline share valuable lessons about love, trust, connection, living in the moment, and overcoming adversities with hope. We all hide a pain in our hearts. And in that moment, we think that giving up is the only choice we have. This episode leaves you with the truth that we can still find beauty amidst the mess.
