Why Salt Lake's Trestle Bridge Was Abandoned

The Lucin Cutoff Trestle Bridge, an engineering marvel of its time, was completed in 1904 by the Southern Pacific Railroad to provide a more direct route across the Great Salt Lake in Utah.
