The Borrowed Life

Alex writes to the Nightmare Neighbors Podcast to share his strange experience with his former neighbor, Mr. Collins, who had a habit of "borrowing" things. What began as simple requests for sugar or a light bulb escalated into Mr. Collins borrowing increasingly personal and unusual items like Alex’s lawnmower, dog, and even his Wi-Fi password. Mr. Collins displayed odd behavior, including rearranging patio furniture at 2 a.m. and building a “gnome city” with Alex’s stolen garden gnomes. While Mr. Collins eventually returned all of Alex’s belongings and seemingly disappeared, cryptic postcards sent to Alex afterward suggest that Mr. Collins is still out there and keeping tabs on him.
