53: Villisca Axe Murders

On the evening of June 10, 1912, and the morning of June 11, 1912, the town of Villisca, Iowa fell prey to murder by axe. What is now commonly known as the Villisca Axe Murders is currently unsolved, and there is a list of suspects a mile long.
