The invitation turned out to be a bait for a kidnapping spree perpetrated by Ariel Castro, a self-confessed sex and pornography addict. He abducted and imprisoned three women in his home for a decade, and subjected them to constant physical abuse, sexual assault, emotional battery, induced abortion and unwanted pregnancy.
