Teen Babysitter Murdered 4-Month-Old Baby While Mom Shopped

Carl Alesbrook was 16 in January 2022 when he was left to care for four-month-old Elijah Shemwell when his mother went to the store. Elijah was not breathing when his mother, India Shemwell, returned from the store, according to Derbyshire Police in the UK. Alesbrook was convicted of murdering Elijah this year and Shemwell is serving time on other charges.
