Lara and Carey are back in the Old Testament to discuss a favorite of contemporary nut-bags everywhere: the Book of Leviticus. But first, they discuss “Conclave,” the male urge to wear a dress and claim divinity, nuns with an agenda, and more papal divas.

In “Leviticus,” all the world’s a burnt offering, and God gets painfully specific with Moses and his favorite muse Aaron on the best ways the Israelites can atone; slaughtering rams, pigeons, blood sprinklers and good old fashioned financial planning, to name a few. The litany of sins are plentiful, from women’s monthly visits to men lying with other men, from bodily discharge to food falling on the ground. It’s fair game for God’s increasingly disregulated wrath.
