Episode 3 with Shaun Larkin: Process, Commitment, Environmental design
Jaksokuvaus
Shaun Larkin is an assistant field coordinator with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Shaun and I discuss processes, commitment, handling failure, and success, along with setting up an environmental design to help you succeed. Upon the completion of a collegiate and professional baseball career, his interest shifted to the athlete's mind and human behavior. This inspired the pursuit and completion of an advanced degree in Performance Psychology. Ultimately, this led him down paths of exploration into the fields of motor learning, skill acquisition, skill transfer, and behavior/behavior change. Shaun's current role also allows him to implement theories of best practice, influence daily processes, create culture, and impact people. Taking deep dives into resources regarding staff and player development has allowed him the opportunity to make incredible connections and build long-lasting relationships. Off the field, Shaun and his wife Denise founded ADAPTaba.com. Their services assist athletes, coaches, teams, parents, and businesses through a variety of options. Utilizing empirical-based research in combination with years of applied experience, they offer an unparalleled service in terms of athletic/professional development. Shaun’s expertise and understanding of Skill Acquisition, Practice Design, and Mental Skills make him one of the most sought after voices in the athletic community.
