Bethany Lang came to Chestnut Hill College as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Academic Success and Community Engagement prior to the 2019-2020 scholastic year. In previous appointments, Lang has served as a Tutorial Coordinator and Learning Specialist at Texas A&M University’s Nye Academic Center (August 2018 – May 2019) and as an Athletic Academic Specialist in Prairie A&M University’s Office of Athletic Compliance and Academic Services (July 2017 – August 2018). As the College’s Assistant Director of Athletics for Academic Success and Community Engagement, Lang is responsible for assisting Chestnut Hill College’s student-athletes in scheduling classes and maintaining academic eligibility, while serving as a faculty liaison to ensure proper procedures for class dismissal and student-athlete academic success. In addition to overseeing the College’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and membership with Chi Alpha Sigma. Lang graduated from Neumann University with a bachelor’s degree in sports and entertainment management in 2015. She complete three sport-related internships as an undergrad, serving as an Athletic Department Intern for the Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades in Media, Pennsylvania, a Season Ticketing Intern for the Philadelphia Eagles, and a Marketing Intern with the Reading Fightin’ Phils.
