Chapter 1:• Mom and sister argue over Vi becoming a rider.• Dad's heart issue began after brother died.• Vi doesn't identify as a rider.• Fever blamed for her hair.• Dad knew about andarna, does mom know too and sending violet for that reason too? • I wonder if mom treats violet differently because she is too much like her father. • Dragon scales Armour with a size power 😆.• talk about tattoo relics. Chapter 2:• Storm worsens. • Barlow pissy.• Clever way to tell us about history while also solidifying her book worm personality. • Relistened / read 9min• Why is Barlow like this? Says she doesn't belong. Like guys who join military in hopes to shoot.

Chapter 3:• "Many of you will die, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make".• Thankfully she gets her boot back. • Dain arrives, thirsty, first time seeing him since he gained a power. Touched her back and elbow. • At this point xaden knows about dains signet, right?• Dain takes her to his room, wraps her knee, tension in the room. • She's so forward and confident with flirting. • Feels like she breaks the fourth wall to tell us things. • Dain tries to make her escape.• Cadets from all over?• Joins formation, Panchek speaking (unknown signet).• 3 squad in a section, and 3 section in 4 wings. • Does the Rebecca Yarros have a battalion formation guide and mark off cadets as they are killed off to maintain formations?• Squad switch to fourth wing. • Dragons arrive - Brave heart memories. • At this point originally I wondered how she knew dragons wouldn't admit to being wrong. • Sgaeyl brings this scene up later i believe.

Chapter 4:• Run down of what the year will look like.• Meets sawyer and Riddick. • Dain and Violet speak bird, grabs her elbow, worries about assassination. • On the constant look out for touching and shadows.• You want to be a rider, don't you violet? (SpongeBob "you like crabby patties don't you squidward ")• I didn't realize how quickly dain tells us his signet!• Vi has a spidey sense before seeing xaden and he tilts his head when he sees her, reading her?!

Chapter 5:• Mama sorrengail disagreed with the children of the rebellions.• In class, professor Devera and Markham (meant to work for him).• At this point griffins are attacking because they are being attacked, right?• Barlow "I'm not the one who thinks pre-cognition is a thing"• Spidey sense went off• Xaden knows the motive already of the griffins.• Does Markham know everything at this point? • What were the griffins riders looking for again?• In the sparring ring for the first time, Vi thirsty lol, Professor Emetterio (combat teacher)• Barlow took someone out, Vi fights Imogen, assassination attempt (what was her signet again?)• Broken arm.
