Our Research on naturism reveals a significant gender imbalance, with fewer women participating than men. Several factors contribute to this disparity, including societal pressures on women's body image, safety concerns, and a lack of female role models within naturist communities. Efforts to address this imbalance include promoting body positivity, improving safety protocols, and creating more inclusive spaces. While some organizations are experimenting with membership restrictions to achieve gender balance, this raises ethical questions about inclusivity. Ultimately, the goal is to create a more equitable and welcoming naturist environment for everyone.
