Injury riddled VGK falls in shootout vs Avalanche

The Golden Knights fell 3-2 in a shootout in Denver Tuesday night, in doing so VGK collected the one point needed to gain home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. William Karlsson and Brayden McNabb scored for the Golden Knights in regulation. But the Golden Knights failed to scored in the overtime and shootout. VGK picked up five of the six points on the road. They lead the Pacific by six points with four games remaining. VGK played without four starters in the lineup including leading scorer Jack Eichel, who has an upper body injury. omas Hertl missed his eighth game and Nic Hague and Alex Pietrangelo missed Tuesday's game.
