How to Maintain Wellness Under Stress Featuring Dr. Michelle John

On this episode of the Chic Hippie Podcast, CH (the host) speaks with Dr. Michelle John, D.O., M.P.H., Adult and Pediatric Psychiatrist about a holistic approach to managing stress. This approach includes meditation, exercise, sleep, and self-care. During medical school at Des Moines University, Dr. John became familiar with the meditation technique of relaxation response and diaphragmatic breathing. She will review the calming effects that exercise can have on the body. Then, she will outline proper sleep hygiene and encourage listeners to improve their nighttime routine. Dr. John will remind listeners that adding a self-care activity can help navigate a stressful week.
