Breaking: Active Shooter Reported at Ft. Stewart—Lockdown in Effect Breaking news out of Georgia as an active shooter opened fire at Fort Stewart Georgia, one of the largest army bases. The US Army base is on lockdown as more information becomes available. An active shooting took place at 11:04 AM today 8/6/25 at Ft. Stewart in Georgia. The sprawling 280,000 facility was locked down. The shooter is in custody and 5 victim's were removed to area hospitals.
