Two medieval soldiers—Edwin and his adopted brother Marcus—flee the battlefield in search of shelter to tend to Marcus's life-threatening wounds. With Marcus on the verge of death they stumble upon a mysterious woman who promises to heal Marcus's wounds if Edwin will perform a task.
