Even the most positive situations have a healthy dose of $hit attached to them. By default, we focus so intently on all the terrible things that happened that lose sight of any positive. This has been especially true with my relationship with my father. If you're a long time listener of the show, it's no secret that my dad and I simply didn't get along. In fact, until relatively recently I blamed a lot of my issues on him. Even through the pain, it's hard not to reevaluate our relationship and recognize the gifts my dad has given me.
