HBCU History: North Carolina Agricultural & Technical University

NCAT was the second school founded under the second Morrill Act of 1890. Before they broke ground on their campus, the school was held in the annex of Shaw University. Over the years, they have not only educated Black students, but has also been a pivotal part of the Civil Rights movement.
