Democrat Mikie Sherill easily defeats Republican Jack Ciattarelli despite late-stage polling that showed a tightening race. Abigail Spanberger becomes the first female governor of Virginia, as Democrats hold the governorship and both chambers of the state legislature, while Democrat Jay Jones wins the Attorney General race despite backlash over his disturbing leaked text messages from 2022.
