We at Across the Cline and SciComm@UCR, would like to respectfully acknowledge and recognize our responsibility to the original and current caretakers of the land, water, and air on which we record this podcast: the Cahuilla, Tongva, Luiseño, and Serrano peoples and all of their ancestors and descendants, past, present, and future. We talk with Mandy Aftel, a natural essence perfumer, and Laura Sirot, a professor studying animal behavior at College of Wooster in Ohio, about how scent unified all life.
