Finally, they conclude with the battlefields of the Mahabharata--the ancient Indian epic where two groups of cousins - the Pandavas and Kauravas -battle for the throne of Hastinapura in the Kurukshetra War. Fossils discovered around the Siwalik Hills may have influenced the mythology of this great epic.
