U.S. Covid Cases Top 400,000 as Hospitalizations Surpass 100,000

The FDA expanded the emergency use authorization for Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine boosters to children ages 12-15 as cases top 400,000 and hospitalizations surpass 100,000. Dr. Leana Wen is an emergency room physician and the former Baltimore health commissioner. She tells Anderson Cooper the Omicron variant is pushing hospitals “over the edge” because they were “already at the brink.”  Plus, the New York Attorney General’s office subpoenaed Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. as part of its civil investigation into whether the Trump Organization manipulated the value of its properties.
