In today's episode, we are joined by Sean Tipton, Chief Policy Advocacy and Development Officer, and Becca O'Connor, Director of Government Affairs at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) in Washington DC. They discuss ASRM's public policy priorities and the progress made so far within the Biden administration and the 117th Congress. Sean talks about the early preparations made by ASRM's public affairs staff to ensure their priorities are front of mind for the new administration and Congress, including producing a transition report and reaching out to both campaigns. He also talks about their efforts to expand access to appropriate reproductive healthcare for active-duty military personnel and their families, a priority issue for ASRM for several years.
