On May 19, 1983, a young woman pulled up to the ER shouting, “somebody help! Somebody shot my kids!” The nurses and emergency staff rushed to attempt to save the three young children. While they operated, police began to speak with the mother, Diane Downs. At first, the case seemed like a strange accident. But they quickly began to think something more sinister had occurred.
