The Morning Footy crew welcome in Attacking Third's Lisa Carlin and Darian Jenkins to discuss all the notable results from Match Day 1 in the inaugural NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup. The NWSL sides were victorious in all their matches against Liga MX sides and Portland came out the strongest defeating Club Tijuana by a score of 5-0. Gotham was able to defeat the Chicago Red Stars in a PK shootout 5-4 after both teams failed to score in regulation. Both teams earn a point, but Gotham receives an extra point for winning said shootout.
