The Morning Footy crew preview today's match between the United States and host country France as the US Men's Olympic campaign starts today. This is the first game in Group A which also includes Guinea and New Zealand. These two faced each other pre-Olympics and the US lost. 15 of the 18 players for the US were capped. This is the first time the US have qualified for the Olympics since 2008. As for France, they won gold back in 1984, did not advance past the group stage in 2020, and have 3W 2D in 2024 as a team.
