(00:00 - 2:55) - Soccer Saturday kicks off with a quick recap between the Men's and Women's weekends, then previews the topics and guests for each segment of the upcoming show. (5:55 - 19:40) - President of the Indy 11, Greg Stremlaw comes on the show to announce that the Indy 11 Women's team will be participating in the USL Super League next season. Stremlaw believe this league is going to serve as another reach for women's soccer and professional soccer as a whole in the United States. The league is still roughly two years out, and Indy has several milestones to hit before then like the opening of 11 Park. Stremlaw believes that this expansion is just another example of how the Indy 11 has helped to grow the sport of soccer not just in Indiana but in America as a whole and give Hoosier kids a chance to participate in professional soccer without having to leave the country. (22:40 - 30:51) - Forward for the Indy 11 Women's League team Maisie Whitsett is the next guest on the show. Just signed in April of this year the Louisville grad is in her debut USL season. Coming off an 8 - 0 win against St. Charles FC. Coming up she and the team will take on Lexington SC on Sunday, May 21st. Whitsett has a connection with Indy 11 Head Coach Paul Dolinsky as he was a coach at the same San Diego high-school as Whitsett. She also was previously a teammate with several of the Indy 11 Roster as the team has 5 total former Louisville University Cardinals playing for them this season. (33:51 - 42:21) - Patrick Seagrist joins for segment four of Soccer Saturday, the former Indy 11 loan from 2021 now plays for the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, the 11's next opponents this season. Seagrist says that signing with Colorado Springs was a no brainer given his mother's connection to the state and the coaching staff that Colorado currently has put together. Seagrist recalls his favorite memories as an Indy 11 member, as well as with his team previous to Colorado Springs in the Memphis 901. (45:21 - 58:20) - The show finishes off by welcoming back Macauley King to the Indy 11. King played with Indy from 2019 to 2020 then spent two years away with the El Paso Locomotive and Colorado Springs Switchbacks. King has been especially busy moving across the country in such quick order. Rakestraw goes back and forth with King on his memories with the team before, his decision to return, and a bit of light banter about his youth team in Leicester City back in England.
