Having served nearly 17 years in the Royal Navy, Pete successfully transitioned into engineering roles across the Oil & Gas, Civil Nuclear, and Defence sectors. Throughout the episode, Pete discusses how pivoting at different points in his career has exposed him to a variety of work environments, job roles, and challenges—showing the versatility and excitement that engineering careers can offer.

Pete is passionate about encouraging young people to explore engineering, highlighting the industry's dynamic opportunities. He also shares how his academic journey began later in his career, proving there's no "right time" to pursue education. With a Foundation Degree, a BSc, an MSc, and now pursuing a Doctorate of Business Administration, Pete's story is a testament to career long learning.
