CPR Annie - Death Mask

In the late 1800s, the lifeless body of a young woman was pulled from the Seine River in Paris, her identity never discovered, but her peaceful expression so hauntingly beautiful that a pathologist made a death mask of her face. Decades later, that same mask became the model for "Resusci Anne", the world’s first CPR training mannequin, giving a mysterious drowned girl an immortal role in saving millions of lives. Known today as “the most kissed face in history,” her tragic end became an unlikely beginning a legacy carved from death, and worn into memory.
