Sharing his own pain when he came back to India to get his father treated for cancer, Simerjeet Singh sets on the difficult path of 'no words can explain or contain the pain'. And yet, as a small sapling on barren land brings the unmistakable call of hope, Simerjeet urges us to look for hope in all dark situations. Especially when one is parenting an autistic child, there are so many times that we lose hope, we lose patience, we give up - but the fact that a helpless child is looking at us and mirroring our frustration should always be on top of the mind.

There are no effective parenting tips that can ease the pain that parents of autistic children go through, but with courage, with the thought that they are the chosen parents of this special child because they had the strength and the means to bring them up, with the thought that the child is a warrior, we can ensure that our feelings of desperation and sadness do not get translated into the child's tender psyche.
